Hi guys!

Decided to come back to blog cos I want to jote down my experiences when I can.

NS in a few days time and surrendering for Pink I/C for 1 year and 10 months.

OCS is my goal or else SCS. One part that I need to improve is running. 9.44 for 2.4 (IPPT) will be a challenge I need to break through.

HELLO!

Topic of the day, emotion.

Do our SMS reveal our emotions? Sometime we read too much into a SMS that we misunderstood the message that it is trying to convey. Do we read too much or we have our own perception of the SMS itself?

For example. "That fine." Is the person sending you the SMS angry or neutral? It could be a angry tone saying, that fine.

Or rather when someone never reply your sms after you send it to them, will you have the idea that the person is angry?

So the better way of communicating is through calling as you can detect the tone and the choice of words being used.

Start thinking. Discuss. Do I make sense?

It has been soooo long i have been updating my blog. Life has been very busy for me for the past few months. After 6 years of NCC, finally is time to let got for the next few weeks for my prepration for my A levels.

Motivational level is super duper low now. Need that motivation back srsly! I am wasting damn a lot of time slacking, thinking of something and watching TV.

I need to nail by GP, Chemistry and Physics. Maintain my Math and Econs.

Just wishing everyone to stay healthy and chiong all our way to the finishing line, or else it will be a wastage of 12 years of education.

PW Results released last Friday and like many of them, I got a B too, in fact in PJC, 94% As and B. I was quite upset initially because I wanted an A for PW, but now I am contented with B as I know I was too slack at the initial stage of PW.

OSIM Volunteering, quite fun lah but it also has allowed me to see a lot of bad side of singaporeans. Some of them are draconian, unreasonable, proud and impatient.

What wrong witht them? I talked to them nicely and yet they yelled at us. YOU THINK I OWE YOU? Thinking of it, I am pissed off. GO AWAY!

Salary Take a look! "Good news, but there is a downside"

Almost all found jobs within six months; still average pay was lower for some
12:10 PM Apr 06, 2010SINGAPORE - The good news is that almost all the fresh graduates from the three local universities found jobs within six months of graduating last year.

The overall employment rate for graduates from the Singapore Management University (SMU), the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) was 92 per cent.

But the downside was that average monthly salaries - compared to what their predecessors were offered - dipped for those who entered the job market last November.

And while economics graduates with cum laude and higher qualifications from the SMU were the top earners in 2008 with a monthly starting salary of $4,164, they started with $3,606 last year.

It was the graduates from SMU's Information Systems Management course - with cum laude and higher - who earned the highest mean monthly salary of $3,754, according to figures from the latest Graduate Employment Survey posted on the Ministry of Education (MOE) website.

Graduates from the NUS Business Administration with Honours course followed closely with a mean monthly salary of $3,389, down from $3,971 the previous year.

This is the second survey of its kind by the MOE, which collated results from surveys by the three universities.

It looked at those who graduated last year and who got jobs within six months.

Those who picked teaching as a career also did well and were placed among the top earners, and their starting salaries remained mostly unchanged.

Those who had Arts (with Education) qualifications from the National Institute of Education made an average of $3,109 a month, a slight dip from 2008's $3,207.

They also enjoyed 100 per cent employment rate.

However, graduates from NUS's Applied Science course were at the other end of the scale with a mean monthly salary of $2,393.

That was slightly lower than graduates from NTU's Art, Design and Media course, whose mean monthly salary was $2,431.

The employment rate of graduates from the SMU is the highest, with 97 per cent.

In a sign the economy has improved, about 91 per cent of graduates from the NUS and about 89 per cent from the NTU also found jobs

Update of Grades

Here is an update of my Grades for CT. I didn't did well and the papers are relatively easy, but I must say that I have improved for my GP!

H1 GP: D
H1 Econs: B (Most likely)
H2 Physics: D (I didn't study well, serve me right)
H2 Chemistry: B (Improvement on organic Chem, I have been failing my assignments, but can be better)
H2 Math: A (Scrape through it with a 71, where one of my classmate can get 99/100, he is pro)

Analysis of grade:

GP - Improved from U to D, after many hard work. Very few grammar mistakes now, so I need to work a bit harder to make sure my essay is grammar error free as well as improve on the way I write my arguement. For Paper 2, did well for Summary and AQ. However, I did very badly for my short answer questions, which I got 2 out of 14 (I think) or else I can score about 30 for compre. Today went to see Ms Zaleena for consultation and she point out some mistake I made and I will heed her advice. I must sustain and IMPROVE and get B!

Econ - Not very sure yet, but I think I can get a B. For case study I got 19/30. To me, the score is not too bad but if you see your peers able to get 24, 25 out of 30, it simply makes you wonder why I cannot. Case study was something that was somehow similar to a tutorial paper, but.... NO comments. Essays are not return yet, but I hope that it is not too big of a problem. Anyway, I must thank god that I went to appeal for Econs, I learnt a lot of life skills from there.

Physics - SERVE ME RIGHT! I didn't spend a lot of time on that, but that is not an excuse. Many questions are tutorial questions and I still can't get the answer. This simply tell me that I did not put in any effort in tutorial lesson. Is time to wake up!!!! I think, I feel very gulity, because I got such a wonderful physics teacher in secondary school. B, that was my ultimate aim!

Chemistry - The paper was easy and I still make a lot of careless mistakes and stupid mistakes. No doubt that our class did quite well, but I think Ms Aw did made a point when she scold us. We getting too complacent and the questions is so easy, so she expected more As for our class. I think we really dissapoint her. For me, i think I made a slightly improvement for organic chemistry as for all the organic chemistry assignments I always fail but the improvement is not enough. You might say I'm greedy but that how pragmatic in Singapore. Like what Ms Aw said, CCCC, does not get you anywhere.

Math - Samuel was ultimate. He got 99/100 and I got 71/100. I have made a lot of careless mistake like (-16 +18 = -2) IS 2!!!!. I love math very much, but I do not know why I lost the motivation to do it. 71 to me is a not very good grade. Got to do better, Wee Keat.

Overall, I think my physics grade drop but my GP grade has risen. WORK HARDER!!!! According to Mr Chu, we need to spend at least 25 hours on study per week, which is the minimum. Oh gosh, I need time!!!!

Guys,

Is the week after common test and we are getting our results back

So far, I got a B for my Chemistry, D for my GP. The rest not yet.

For GP, I think must really work double hard as my aim was to score a B for my GP by the end of this year and I am sure I can.

I saw improvment in these two subjects but I think it is not simply enough. At A Levels, they talk about As and Bs. Cs and Ds does not get you anywhere.

So I am striving on and continue to do my best!

Earth Hour 2010

I supported Earth Hour, did you? Majority of my neighbours did that. Well done! ;)

Two month pass like a wink of eye. No doubt waking up and go to school is a tiring stuff, but I kind of enjoy it, cause everyday is a challenge. You get to learn new stuff and interact with your classmates.

Let backtrack to today topic. "Earth Hour"

Let me just share with you an article I read today in newspaper. There is an article that say, Changi Airport Supports Earth Hour today by switching off the "useless" lights like decorations, and dim their light in terminal 3 by 50% without affecting the operations for an hour. Not just this, it was mentioned that the energy saved in this hour is able provide an three room flat for three month. Let's do a simple math questions. Three month is approximately 90 Days. Which means an hour energy saved can be used to power up a block of 90 household for 1 day. Whoa, I really hope that Changi Airport can do that reguarly, because it can really save a lot of energy. If they are the step, I'm sure others major companies will follow suit.

Talking about environment, just a question to ponder. Have you really done your part to save the enviroment? For me, I can only say that I only do it selectively. Which means, sometimes. What about you? I remember there was this time, where conserving the environment was a common topic of the people but after the economic crisis, I think people is more concern about the economic that environment. I think it is time to rekindle the interest again.

Here is one paragraph for my essay:

On the surface, it may seems that mankind are concerned about the environment as they realised that without a proper care for the enviroment, it may lead to many detrimental effects, such as global warming. However, one has to realise that many place economic growth on their agenda when they talk about the environment. For instance, China refused to sign the protocol during the copenhagen talks in 2009, shows that they will not forgo their economical growth for the environment. It is undeniable that with our rapid industralisation and the rate we are polluting the environment, it accelerates the rate of global warming which will cause more problems that will be a barrier for econmical gain. For example, the recent weather going haywire, shows that there is an indication that threat of global warming is rising. In China, some of the agrain rual areas, are facing a famine due to the history lowest rainfall recorded that has led to some to be able to access to drinkable water. Many suggested, it is due to global warming that cause rate of evaporation to increase. Therefore, on the surface it may seems that we are concerned about the environment but we actually will not forget about econmical gain. In addition, when we pursue economical gain, more enviromental problems will arise. Therefore, there is a co-relation between environment and economical gain. Hence, mankind is still not concered about the environment.

Was rather sian this few days.

I lost the motivation to do homework.
I lost the motivation to exercise.

I lost the motivation to talk.
I lost the motivation for almost a lot of stuff.

That explains why am i so sian.

BUT

Nothing is done and finished.

It is quite an irony.

Why? I also do not know. Was rather moody this few days, I have no idea too.

A sudden feeling that the world is lonely, cold and sad. I have no idea.

People always argue that, every 'Why' is accompanied by an answer.
Reason? Because everything is linked one way or another.
Just like GP, any argument you raised has a linked to the topic. It is how well you are able to find the link between A and B. Is just as simple as that, but I understand sometimes it just hard to find the link. From another point of view, A and B may be linked with C.

Just to pose a question for ponder. Have you ever wonder, who invented the word 'why'?

My holiday starts officially today.

GP Exam is over and I think I will most probably going for the 6.45AM lecture by Mr Ivan Lim.

Today is also the day where ncc camp officially ended also. Didn't had the chance to ask the cadets how they feel about the camp, but i think the part c did a great job in ensuring the camp is carried out smoothly. Good Job part C.

I'm now completing my assignment. Talk again =D

Sorry for neglecting my blog for some time.

Was rather busy with many stuff. Top on the list I have CCKS NCC Camp, NCC BUC, My own GP Re-exam, Lectures and many.

Monday was outing with guys, even it was short, but i think everyone really enjoyed themselves. We shall have more such session together, great friends are hard to find in this world. That is why I will always treasure them. If there is a word to say it, i can say that this group of friends are PERFECT. They are always there when you need help, encourage each others, spur each other to do well.

Tuesday was a very busy day for everyone. Lectures spread from morning till the evening. Quite a hectic day for everyone. So much concepts are being taught in 1 day. Must really have the ability to digest it.

Wednesday morning was lecture and school ended at 1pm. Headed to Library to help Jun Bin out with the man power for delivering the poster, open house 2010. I was wondering why can't the school just sent out a postage service to the schools and requires the students to travel to the school and pass it to them. Never mind of that. After that, attended the dialogue session with the SC in Lt3. It was a rather boring session, with the similar people throwing "complains" to the SC. Then, the most famous answer was return. "we will check with the school management." I believe that the dialogue session is not that effective in getting feedback. Never mind, at least the SC try their best to reach out to the student body, that is something that to be praised. I left at 3.30 to attend the CCKS NCC Annual Camp meeting. Since the camp has a lot of common activities, I taught them the PJC orientation activities for them to consider. Mark and wei xian also taught them some. Hopefully they take up the ideas.

Today was rather boring with same old lecture and boring GP workshop. I slip out of the lecture at 3 as i really cannot bear with the sianess.

I want go fly kites. kites are so good, they can fly so freely with the help of the wind, but they are attached to a string.

How does a poor feels??

Yarh, this is my topic of my day. POVERTY.

Well, first and foremost, i come from a quite low income group family. If people had not know me well, they will feel that i am a person who is very particular about money. Have you ever wonder why am I like that? Not because that I am selfish, but is because If i need to save. Money is quite essential to ensure life to continue in this practical society. Even though many people always says that money is secondary, but money is indeed no doubt a passport to life. I am not wishing that i am very rich, but enough to live. The only and effective way of getting out of poverty is through education, therefore I'm glad that I'm a Singaporean, as our education is highly subsidized.That is why I set my dream of becoming a teacher, I want to help those students who wish to learn but have no money for tuition, extra practices.

I only spent on items that i feel is necessary. Maybe you can get everything you want when your family is rich, but in my case, is totally different. Almost everything that i spent is my money. Overseas Trips, lecture notes, extra educational materials and many more. Theses are some examples on what I have to fork out myself as i do not want to add on to my burden of my parents. They are already trying hard to save as much as they can, but yet sometimes when i need extra cash for courses and workshop, they are there to pay for me. They never say anything. Take for an example, when my mom want to buy shoes, she will go for offers one, but when I need 30 bucks for PW Workshop, she just give me. So, to those people who spent money like water, please exercise cautious when you spent. You won't realize how hard is to earn that money for a lower income group. When the high influx of talents to Singapore, our chance of getting jobs are now more competitive.

Yesterday went to MOE for a temporary job interview, they have not revert me. (Low chance)
Today went to Science Park for a temporary Job interview (65% chance of getting the job)

Today PW officially ended with all the documents all endorsed and submitted. So let's celebrate until next year April when the result will be released. Best PW Group? haha. A 'B' will be good enough. The draconian and tedious 7 months of hard work has come to an end, FINALLY.

Tomorrow is 12 Nov, the day where you know whether you get promoted or not. 10.45Am the special moment is coming in just about 16 hours time. You will not how nervous am I feeling now. I think majority of my classmates will be promoted. As for me, I only hope that I can advance to JC2.

The paper was kind of hard, hard as in all multiple choice answers seems to be correct. NVM. is over anyway.

I am now completing my tutorial for tomorrow Lecture. Finally lectures are back! hahas.

At the same time, i am browsing through the internet, looking for temporary jobs available. I had already sent out a few and i am awaiting for their reply.

Today did lots of stuff. Let me start from the morning.

Morning - School (Mock Exam)

The paper was relatively easy, hence i completed in just 1 hour. Slept half an hour. Got 74/100. Too complacent. Hopefully the A level is the same difficulty, but i don't think so. HAHA. I will work hard.

After paper, they discuss about the chalet, the discussion was chaotic. Can't make a decision, finally it is fixed at 7 - 9 Jan. I think i'm able to make it.

I went home.

Afternoon - Went out

So, I decided to go to collect my passport today. Reach ICA at around 1.30 and collected my passport at around 2.15. 95 people in front of me. Queue No. 7981. Go buy 4D. Passport, haha, quite nice =P but then 70 bucks fly away.

After which, went to Vivo City to collect my LG Phone. They changed the top part of my phone. Imagnine how expensive is going to take, if it is not under warranty. HAHA. It was about 3pm by then.

Walk around in search for Mark Birthday present. Went to Giordano (correct Spelling?), Zara, Tangs, Levis, New Urban Male, Rip Curlz, Converse, Topman shop, 7 eleven (just kidding), Fox and G.A.P. There are so many things to buy for mark, but do not know what to buy. HAHA. Oh ya, i went to G.A.P and saw this red sleeve shirt and a SKINNY (not the ugly type, not too tight one). I went to try and if i got the money, i would have bought it. Therefore, just try for the sake of fun. HAHA. Buy need money but try does not required. You must be wondering how much it cost. The red shirt still ok. $39.00. The skinny is $108. WHOA! haha, but the material is very comfortable. Next time, when i start working then i buy. Back to mark's present. I went back to TopMan Shop to look at the shirt. Very nice. I called mark and he said he do not like Raddd and Yerrrow (sorry arh, ris low here. BOOMZ!). Bought him a V-neck Grey shirt and a round collar green shirt. I think it looks perfect for him. Once again, i would have buy it if i am RICH! hahas. Just Kidding, I got a lot of t-shirts already. Wait till i slim down, then i purchase more. I think i slim down a little bit. Today my Bermudas feels loose that i need to wear a belt.

Target, 70Kg by Jan 2010. HAHA.

Anyway, i was taking the MRT and something kept me pondering. Why is there so many PEOPLE who chose to remain near the doors, misuse the priority seat, and make so much noise in the Cabin. Therefore, some people became the innocent parties. 所谓"城门失火，遭受池鱼之殃"

Just move in, shut up and enjoy the ride, give up seats if you can. The world will be nicer in that case.

Hi everyone.

Is another hectic day again. PW, MT. I am so tired today that i actually feel that i am quite rude to everyone. Sincerely apologize for today if i am rude to you.

Yesterday work until 1am just to do some editing of written report and today rush out the written report for submission tml. I must really thank Ms Sabrina for helping me to print the 3 copies of WR. Really. I am going send her a card of appreciation soon. She has helped me a lot today.

Went to CCKS for conducting internal prof test for NCC. I can say that the exam was difficult. I'm going to have a easy time marking it. Crosses, that all i need.

HAHA.

Hi everyone.

Today was Chinese and PW again. As usual, we have long breaks and lunch.

Chinese, 2 and half hour of Lesson. The time flies and is 1030 and we are released for break.

1 hour break, slacking and watch people playing, woon yong playing.

1 and half hour of OP practice. I did pay off. HARDWORK.

OP Presentation. "A fantastic improvement. That is well done the presentation." Quoted from the vendor.

I can feel it too, we are improving especially jun hong. He is actually a good speaker.

My comments given by her was the least. That is a good thing, she said i presented very well.

I managed to clear the presentation in 4 mins and 58 sec. (On time) I can slow down a bit.

Overall, i got EE low for my presentation. Overall group is EE.

Lydia got EE low too, the rest in the range of ME, but I'm sure they can hit EE with few more practices. Do not worry about it.

Tml is the proficiency test and I am the only invigilator there. Scary, what if a few cadets cheat? It is scary.

Going grandmother house on Thursday to celebrate her birthday. Buy a cake? i wonder. hahas

Going to NP Strings concert on Saturday, heard that they are practising for the concert. Jiayou.

Didn't i promised to blog everyday? haha.

I failed as i didn't post on Sunday, so i will not miss today.

Yesterday was Project work, project work and project work. HAHA. We did the filming of video yesterday and it went great! thanks jun hong for being the old man.

Ytd night, went to BPP to had dinner with family at Ichiban. It was embarrassing. I ask the waitress for typeryakin sauce, but instead i actually wanted terrayki sauce. She was like, "oh sir, we do not have the sauce u want." haha! i was embarrassed haha. NVM... haha Lesson Learnt

Today was PW again and i started editing the videos but failed to complete. after school, we waited for 4 hours for the balloon sculpting course. HAHA. The waiting is alright as we had a fun time at LT 1 learning how to sculpt the balloon. Initially, i was very afraid that the balloon will burst, but after some warm up, i managed to complete a lot. A few flower, a bear , dog, 2 swords and many more. I am going to sell this during the Metro SIF project. HAHA. It so fun to learn! haha =P

Now just finish edting PW OP slides and finishes my Video edited. 3.5/5 stars i will give myself.
Some areas can be improved, but overall it will capture people attension and send a strong message of conserving dialects.

TATA! i am off to prepare for my op tml.

Quite boring today.

Woke up at 11am and was slacking in front of TV and Computer since i wake up till 4.30pm.

Tried chemistry tutorial but i couldn't not do more than 1 question as i do not know how to do. I must consult Ms Aw after OP Exam.

Went out with the council for dinner. Initially there are eight of us coming but in the end left 5 of us met up. Had dinner at the Wan Chai HK Cafe. Still not as good as IMM one. Discuss the chalet thingy at the cafe and left after short while. We head to the NLB but there is no where for discussion. After which, we found a place call the expression corner, but kena complain by a few ***** guys, fagots. We got chase out of the library by the Liberian, the ***** guys laugh at us, they also force to leave the library! WAHAHAHA. I want to laugh at them. I just realised one thing, the NLB staff is dominated by a particular group of people. HAHA check it out yourselves.

Realised that i have been blogging for the past few days. Something i hate to do for the pass few weeks.

Blogging is kind of a joy now. Helps me to reflect and move on.

Today is quite busy. Morning we had Mock Exam for Chinese, which i anyhow completed the exam. Why? because i lack of sleep and cannot think properly, my ideas are crappy and the comprehension is going to be worse. After Mock exam, went to rehearse for my PW Oral Presentation. I was on time for my part, which is about 5 minutes. I think that our group presentation is of high standard, but there is still room for improvement. I want to score well for the oral exam, and i am sure we can.

After PW, which ends around 1pm, i went to canteen and have lunch with Jun Hong and Boon Tat. Had a chat with them and tell them about the Mr Brown show. Quite relaxing and feel comfortable.

1.30, went back to CCKS and saw wei xian. I really cannot stand one of the UG in CCKS. They think we owe them a living. Complain to our teacher in charge that we are rude to them but they are the one who is rude. Ms Lim is still the best CO i ever had in NCC, even though Mr Loy has taken over as CO, i think Mr Loy has a lot to learn from her. We cannot blame Mr Loy, he is still new to the CO post and i think he is improving. We cannot compare him with Ms Lim. I unfair for him. Back to the UG, I do not understand how the dyed hair guy is? rude, rude and still rude. He is also irritating and proud. I think even his platoon mates do not like him also.

They all simply do not have the ability to do well for a parade, what more to talk about combined UG Camp. That is rofl. Please try to buck up, or else you will still be status quo for your BUC. Even though, NCC has suffer a slight dip in BUC, but i am sure we can get a GOLD this year. NCC has always be supportive about your activities, that what i am sure. So please buck up.

Ms Sim is leaving and had a quick chat with her today. She say she was rather busy this few days to finish her job and leave the school with all the programs running smoothly. In addition, she say she is a member of alumni of CCKS and will join in activities when the alumni organise one. She officially says that she is a ex-ccksian. I think the school owe her too much, her legacy and her hard work. If she wasn't here, CCKS might still be a problematic school, not a good neighbourhood school now. Today, CCKS is on her path to achieving holistic education and is Ms Sim that work towards the dreams. She feels very privilege to be in the school for ten years and she really appreciate it. She is a good principal. All the best for your future endeavours.

To end my post today, i end with a message.

Boring day

Today was kind of rather boring. Morning PW till 1000, followed by 1 and 1/2 hour break then 1130 - 1230 PW again. 1 and 1/2 hour break again then Chinese.

Really miss those days where we are rushing for lectures and tutorials. The subject that i missed the most in PE, which is the fun part of college.

HAHA. Hopefully PE will resume after A level examination.

Many people are falling sick recently. Woon Yong, Jason and Nicholas are all sick. Hope they get well soon.

Listen to Boon Tat's ipod today and suddenly find those Korean band like Super Junior, 2NE1 and wonder girls songs quite nice, even those i do not even know the meaning but the tune of the music is nice. Currently listening to some of them, maybe get Boon Tat to send me some.

Did i mention that i do not like Boontat starting of the year and I think my PW will fail because of him? Well, my perception of him has changed. He is actually quite nice guy that i can crap with. Even though we might disagree with each other, but then is nice to have him in my PW team. Must really thank him for disagreeing with me so much that allow us to do better for PW. I always "suan" him and he suan back. Kind of fun.

I started reading the 7 Eleven 狂想曲 again. Last time do not know the meaning of the book, but now finally understand it. It really taught me how to write those feeling that is useful for my Chinese essay. Last time just read for the purpose of reading test, but now reading as leisure. So is different motive. If you have the chance, go borrow the book from Library.

Called Jia Jia just now, she is sick, but halfway my mobile phone hang and cannot switch on. So sorry, didn't do that on purpose. Think she's now alright (based on her tone). Just want to tell you, do not worry about your studies and the concert, everything will go fine.

I now have the motivation to work hard due to the promos result. According to Ms Shan (CL teacher), she says that our result is quite impressive and she didn't know that we actually did that well. I think is not inclusive of me. I just 滥竽充数罢了。(Means that i am there to make up the numbers but never involved). Got to really work hard.

Mark Javen and Ernest birthday around the corner. Do not know what to get for them. Any ideas? Share the present? haha.

Life is just like an endless staircase, everywhere is just a beginning and there is no end.

Pulau Tekong Trip

Today went to pulau tekong.

An insightful and fruitful trip. Get to know more about National service and the rountines they are doing.

HAHA, actually is quite a nice place. In just about 1 year or so, i will be there too. Looking at the SOC, it looks challenging, really want to go and try it out.

I am mentally ready but physically unready, Dec holiday must really train myself.

The facilities there are really good, i can say. The bunks are really nice and the personal equipment are really good.

The welfare of NS Man are really good. Hopefully what they say is true.

NS is quite fun, don't understand why people don't want to go. Is just about 20 months only. Go there enjoy and keep fit. Is a once in a life time experience. I really want to go, but i am not going to sign on or anything, 20 month experience, finish it and move on to university.

We will know whether are we promoted after our OP Exam, so i am going to chiong for my PW and MT.

Hopefully, all my current teachers are going to follow up. I don't mind Ms Chua as my GP Tutor, and Ms Zaleena will be good also. Both of them have different teaching style, i guess. Nevertheless, i enjoy their lessons.

Overall (includes CA and Etc. if my calculations are correct)

H1 Economics - B (Max 69%)
H1 MT - B (67 %)
H2 Physics - D (I flunked Paper 2)
H2 Chemistry - B ( Marginal only, might drop to C)
H2 Math - A (That is a must, or else i will kill myself)

Here comes the complicated one

H1 GP. If i get more than 4/5 for class participation, i will pass. Or else i failed GP and might be retained. Hopefully my daily participation in Class is seen by teacher.

Although i do not want to retain, but i am ready to face the fact that i am at risk of retaining due to my GP. Retaining just mean that i need more help etc. I tried my best and i have nothing to hide. Grades shows my standard. I seriously cannot get into any local Univerisity with this grade.

As from the previous post, the 6 promises that i made. I will follow them.

I am not going care for retaining or what, i really want to focus on PW and Chinese.

When i got my GP back.... Let me tell the story

I got back Essay first. i flip the paper, 19/50. Initially quite happy, but then when people around got back paper, i peeked. They all +/- 25. Kind of sad.

Never mind, here come Compre. Nich and Xhi got paper back first. They 1,2,3 flip, pass, good result.

My turn. i got back mine, I don't dare to look. I ask nicholas to see for me. When he flip the paper, his face has a shocked face, i failed. At that moment, i want to cry. The thoughts of being retain appear in my mind, i started to think. Those who comfort me, asking me whether i feeling alright, i didn't reply, cos i scare i will start crying. I started to be EMO......

Pw presentation i screwed up. Loss of words, cos i have no mood to present, but the vendor say i did well. I think i did badly. Seriously no mood to present. On my way home, i saw cheng tuan emo too. He didn't meet his target, so all his emotion on his face. Scary. Walk out of school with candice. Talk to her. I started to think again, retain might be a good chance for me to start off again. No point of getting promoted to JC2 where you will suffer.

Came home, i start digging out my GP files and check my test score. Called Ms chua to re-confirm the promotional citeria.

15% (2 Best Essay and 1 Compre)
5% ( Class Participation)
20% (MYE)
60% (Promos)

Then i saw hope. If my class participation points is 4%, i will pass the Promos with 45.1/100. (E Grade).

SMS Ms Zaleena, she encourage me too.

I got to really buck up if i get promoted to JC2. Really, seriously. I'm afraid that my dream will shatter because of pure lazyness. I want to get into local University, or even teaching scholarship.

I will keep my promise...

Mixed feeling

I got a mixed feeling now.... It comprises of worried, excited, angry.

We are checking our scripts for our Promotional Exam tml. Morning will check the HI Econs follow by Chinese, then all H2 Subjects. Lastly my team OP Rehearsal.

I am kind of stress up. I need some encouragement. Seriously...

I am going to make a few promise here.

1. I will study hard from day 1 of the school regardless whether i get promoted or retained.
2. I am going to write 1 GP Essay at least once a week.
3. I am going to go for consultation for all subject when i am in doubt.
4. I am only allow to surf the Internet during the weekends and PH.
5. I am going to complete my TYS (those chapter that is taught in JC 1) by end of the holidays.
6. I am going to spent at least 4 hours daily revising.

If i failed to do the above mentioned, i will have my allowance cut.

During the JC 2 farewell assembly, one of the speaker is ex-pioneer. He is now studying medicine, and he is a retainee. His speech was kind of aspirating. He told us, even if you get retained, if you are willing to give in extra effort, in the end, you will still be successful.

On a side note, i am flying to Hong Kong from 25 Dec to 4 Jan. Weeeeee, but that comes with cost, estimated cost is about 800 dollars (Air ticket cost 510 already).

I am apply for Orientation Group Leader. Hopefully the OGL Camp do not clash with my trip, if not i will be very sad. I want to be an OGL! It is so fun to be part of the orientation. I am going to send my application by this Friday.

GP: Compre gone, hopefully an E grade to promote (around 45% to get E)
Econs: Case study confused, Essay right. Hopefully a B grade (73% to get A)
Chemistry: Paper 1 didn't do well, Part 2 manageable hopefully a B Grade (73% to get A)

Estimated figures

Maths: 3 hours battle, hopefully an A grade (63% to get A)
Mother Tongue (Chinese): Scoring A isn't a problem if i can handle the compre well and didn't go wrong for essay
Physics: 81% to get A. So my aim is B.

well, i am down with flu and sore throat again. The feeling is bad. I can't breath properly as my nose is BLOCKED! Went to see doctor this morning at polyclinic to save $$. It cost $8.55, a lot cheaper than private clinic. Ate the medicine and slept for 4 hours. The medicine caused me to be drowsy. Cheng Tuan called me and i woke up. Went to wash my face then send them some stuff regarding WR.

It is finally a break for me since term 3. sleepless nights where i complete homework. Maybe Sep holidays is not a time to slack. As what Mrs Tan, our college principal, said that we should take September break to consolidate ourselves and get ready to brace for our promos exam. I think that is true. I do not wish to retain for JC1. I want to score A for PW and Chinese. Get promoted to JC 2. I saw some hope in my GP recently and i find myself improving. Now target is to get an D for Promos and eventually a B for A level.

I shall constantly seek to improve;
To give of myself;
To be true in all that I do.

PJC college creed is indeed encouraging us to excel in what we do. WE cannot afford to slow down as the time will not slow down for us. Perhaps i have been too complacent for the past few months and is time for me to show my "never say die" spirit.

Alright, by to topic. FAMILY.

Well, A short introduction of my family.

Father, 49, a assistant supervisor in a bus maintenance company.
Mother, 49, a babysitter of 3 children cum a housewife.
Sister, 21, currently studying at Singapore Management University (SMU), business studies
Me, 17, currently studying at Pioneer Junior College (PJC).

My father is someone who loves to talk a lot and wants people to acknowledge him for anything he said, or else he will just repeat himself until someone says "oh." What a funny dad. Even though, i always had different opinion with him, i still respect him. In my opinion, he is a wonderful dad and husband. He don't smoke, drink or gamble. A perfect father and husband. Even though he is not that educated, but he is talented. If you are wondering, his highest education he received is just Primary 6. However, he has talent in designing and hardworking. I believed that, that what makes him to a assistant supervisor today. Even though he complained that working is tiring, but he can work up till 7 days per week. He taught me a lot of things, like be sensitive about what you say. If i were to give him a score out of ten, i will give him 11/10.

My mother is a simple and dedicated mother. She has been babysitting since i am K1? she scarified a lot for the family. Because of me, she resign as a supervisor in NTUC 17 years ago. If she did not resign, i am sure she must be a least a manager now. All her friends working in NTUC are now managers or even Deputy Branch Manager. She gave up high paying job, back then, because she want to take care my sister and me. She will save the best for my sister and me. She is a person who will not waste money unnecessary as she felt that we will need money during rainy days, which i agree too. My family is not that rich but still able make ends need and again i do not understand why a lot of my friends thought that i came from rich family? I am not. The furthest place that my mother travel out of Singapore was Hong Kong and was in 1996. If i didn't forget, the last time she took an airplane was 1999. A decade past and she only have traveled to Malaysia for the past 10 years. Why? She thinks that she do not want to spend money on such things. Her sisters always ask her go to Hong Kong but she will reply, "we shall see." She is a wonderful mother in my heart.

My Sister, Jessica. Pretty, kind, clever. She was someone who likes to take challenges. In the past, we fight, quarrel and play together. Even though she was 4 years older than me but there is no gap between us. She always look after me, like when she go Taiwan, she bought me a expensive bag which i am carrying now. But sometimes, i felt that she is a bit lazy and she will take any opportunities to sleep if possible, but when comes to exam, she can really mug like hell. Maybe because of stress, i saw having anxiety during her last year in Poly. She have sweating palms, foots, insomnia, no appetite and stomach pain, but she did not give up. She has her own dreams and plan before hand. E.g. I want to travel oversea twice a year. She take care of my parents better than me. she always teach me how to be a better person. Going shopping with her a good choice, because she will give you a honest opinion. She will not beat around the bush, in other words she is a straightforward person. She is a cheerful person. Perhaps, is because of my family background that made her to be a person like this. WONDERFUL!

Me, ha ha. I am not in a position to comment myself. I feel that i am rather too sensitive over what people says to me. I will sometimes feel troubled if i cannot find an answer. Many of times, i felt loney for no particular reason. I wonder too. But after a while i will be alright. A point to note that, i am very scaristis, i keep talking bad about people. I wonder if there is karma in this world. I am trying to change this, but i think it requires time to change. That's a bad habit. But there is always a guiding principle in my heart that is "you are the one who lead your own life". I can say that i am not a perfect person. Back then in Secondary School, people called "SUCK UP!" what is the real meaning? I myself also do not know the real meaning of it. I only know that i did nothing wrong and i am proud of myself. If someone slames me, i choose to ignore them. I think i should really thank those who called me that because they make a better WEE KEAT. They thought that my Rank in NCC, My achievement is because i have good relationship with teachers. But result shows. NCC Gold achievement, i am the one who work for it, complied the report. IvP distinction for Gifted Education Branch, MOE, was given by MOE and has nothing to do with teachers. NCC Rank Staff Sgt, was something i fight for it, my commitment. If i didn't have the ability, i will not had become one, the NCC HQ gave the rank not teachers again. I cannot say that i am the best but defintely i am one of the good ones. Is because of them, i told myself to work hard for it. 6 Distinction for O level is not an easy task, even thought 6 Distinction result in 13 raw point, i felt that is an achievement for myself. People often say that i look stupid, idoit. One example is when my mother told my cousin that i am going for the Edusave Busuary Cermony, they replied "Har? He also can?". Nevertherless, my family gave me their supports and the school teachers cheer me on. Lastly, thank you for those who made negative comments on me, because you guys shape me into a better person.

Thank you, dad, mom and sis. You all gave me a wonderful home.

Well, it has been a very long time since i updated my blog.

Was pretty busy for the last few days or weeks. Sincerely apologise for not update.

As promised, i am going to update today with a long post? haha.

Alright, this week was a quite a sad week. It is our last week with Ms Zaleena, GP teacher, and she will be leaving us and go back to JC 2 to coach the weaker student. Well, we have no say to this and have to stay relevant. Hopefully, the new GP teacher will be like her, a draconian teacher. She promised us that she will take our class next year! =P. I was always afraid that i might failed my GP, but she make GP so fun and make me to be more confident to write essays.

Well, i started to see people true colours. This person X lied, i hate people who tell lies. Why can't she just tell the truth. Is not part of my concern... arghh i am contradicting myself. OK, lets forget about it.

I simply love my class. They are wonderful batch and is so nice to have them (Nicholas, Xhi wei, Junbin, Zheng Yang,Jason, Ardy, Dawn, Zhiler, Candice, Fei Ni, Tow Rong etc.) in my class. Always look forward to go to class! =P I simply love JC's life. It is totally different from Secondary School. I could say i am performing average for all subjects and think i should do more do get good grade.

It has been Raininininining for the past few days.

Chat with some of my primary school friends and finally realise that it is a privilege to be in CCKS. Here are some comments from them.

"Your schoolmate are doing super fast. They can complete the task very fast."

"Your school very good. Got lesson till like 4.30 everyday, so it so normal to stay till so late in JC."

"Your school did a wonderful job. I can see that your schoolmates are not very stress and can handle JC life very well, You are so lucky"

So, I am glad that i was once a CCKSian where it gives everyone a holistic education, no doubt that sometimes we do complain but it actually paid off. Like chemistry, those under Ms Vanessa's Class will realise that she actually introduced some of the A level stuff in Sec 4, I used to complain about it, making her angry, but in reality, she was doing a great job.

Today went for 2.4 running. Improved but maybe due to the weather condition. I was 13.15 Min. Target was 12.30! More could be done for my Pull Up as well. Managed to pull 2, but target was 5. =P Homeworking time... it so fun to have homework! I LOVE homework!

Evening went to Bukit Timah and had dinner. It was great with good food but i am growing FAT!

Orientation ended last friday and normal lessons resume today.

Went bowling and play pool with my clique last Saturday. It was fun and i guessed everyone enjoyied themselves. It was fun to be together with them and they really make your day, a great one. Sunday was rather a boring day for me, was in the room completing the tutorials which is damm hard, but nevertherless, i will try my best to do it. I will not wait till the exams are here then i mug.

Thanks everyone for giving me all the advice, i have already made up my mind. I AM GOING BACK TO CCKS NCC! Even Mr Loy was excited about it. Not forgeting about Xhi Wei. I gave up my archery to go back and help out! So today went back to CCKS to get the letter from Mr Loy. Met a lot of old staff there, the security guards and the Office People, suddenly it feels good, everyone is friendly.

14 Months (Excluding Holidays, Exams) that is how much time i have to prepare for my 'A' Levels.

First and foremost, I am posted to PJC. OG 36, the group which was not “high” man. When is time for cheer they don’t cheer, when is time to sing, they don’t sing. That bad enough and some people who was posted to PJC (their 2nd Choice) was complain about the school. My Subject combination is MCP, E. Now, is time to choose CCA, but i feel that i will not get into any although i went for the trials for Tennis, Badminton and Archery. Everyone who went for the trials are so pro, which made me feel very lousy. If there isn’t any CCA being offered for me, I will go back to CCKS NCC to help out, is simply too boring in JC without any CCA and your testimonial will be empty.

Talking about JC Life, i think i am still adapting to the life in JC. I am not use to the lecture style of delivering lesson, it simply too new to me. Even though i am sitting at the front few rows, i sometime can’t even see the screen. OMG… And there is this funny mathematics teacher who shut down the computer 3 times in a row today in the lecture. During today’s Chinese lesson at the MPH, CCKS sat together and were having fun. The teacher commented that our school standard of Chinese is good and we actively participate in her lesson. Now i shall set my target for my JC 1 studies, all at least 70 marks for H2 Subjects and 65 for GP (Hopefully).

Reading Newspaper

Didn't Realise that reading newspaper is such an interesting activity. Was reading The Straits Times this morning and i found that it actually gives us many information as well as messages. Hopefully I can keep the habit of reading newspaper daily. I should work hard now for my GP as i did badly in my English Language in GCE O level. Unexpected... i got a C6. I told myself is a wake up call for me to really buck up on my English. I expected a B4 for English but it was a 6. I was shocked. Why? Which part of the examination went wrong? Oral, Comprehension or Essays? No point to be upset now, is already over. Is a brand new start in PJC (If i get in). I will try to opt for 4 H2 Subjects there. Hopefully yes......

My! My! Time Files! (A Song title in ENYA's album, and winter came.) Seriously Time FLIES! I will end my service with the Ministry Next Week. Staff at MCYS HRD are great and i will miss them. Mabel (HRE) and Pamela Tan (Assist. Director) gave me Chocolates and Poh Choo gave me pineapple tarts as a form of appreciation. Indeed learn a lot of things there, know about Office Politics there. Working is not an easy task, you can't trust anyone easily. Working at there made me realised that sometimes we must really go by the book, black and white, in case someone is backstabbing you at your back. Just end with a note, "Give in your best and i am sure your hard work will be appreciated. Even though you might be playing a small part but without you it will not be successful"

TPJC couple petting in bus back seat: 'Girl moaned and screamed at times'

Wonder who posted this on STOMP... He/She should not have done it. So what if they doing those "stuff" in the bus, Why are you so concern about it? What he/she had done have cause them to be a bad light. If they were your child, do you want your child to be appear there? If you feel it is unsightly, you can simply just get off the bus or just walk to them and tell them. Is this the only way to express your unhappiness? The way he/she has done is WRONG! STOMP is an area for you to post news like accidents or important message for the public to know, not an area for people to express your unhappiness. Anyway, hopefully he/she will not get charged for harassment.

These two Junior College students were heavy petting at the back of bus number 12, says STOMPer EnG. The girl even moaned and screamed at certain points.

Here's what the shocked STOMPer had to say:

"I witnessed these two young Junior College students having fun at the back of the bus number 12.

"They got on at Tampines JC bus stop.

S’porean wanted by Interpol in connection with Cortina theft

SINGAPORE: International police organisation, Interpol, has issued an arrest for
a former employee of Cortina Watch.

This comes after nearly S$8m worth
of watches were stolen from the Cortina outlet at Raffles City last December.

Mr Jerry Ee has been put on the wanted list and has been flagged with a
red notice.

This means the 35—year—old can be arrested by any of
Interpol’s 187 member countries and extradited back to Singapore.

Mr Ee
has been listed as being conversant in English, Mandarin and Thai.

The
notice has given his height as 1.62 metres and his weight at 50 kilogrammes.

Mr Ee has been missing since the theft was discovered.

Local MP hospitalised after man pours flammable liquid on him, sets him on fire (Read article below)

SINGAPORE : Member of Parliament (MP) for Yio Chu Kang, Seng Han Thong, is in hospital with between 10 and 15 per cent burns after a man poured flammable liquid on him and set him on fire on Sunday.

Mr Seng was at a bursary and hong bao presentation ceremony at Yio Chu Kang Community Club when the attack happened.

The chairman of a nearby Chinese temple, Aw Chui Seng, also suffered burns.

Both men are now at the Singapore General Hospital.

Yio Chu Kang Community Club was filled with police and Civil Defence officers who were going about their investigations, but reporters were barred from entering the premises.

It is believed that a 70-year-old man approached the MP and Mr Aw from behind,
poured the flammable liquid on them and set them on fire using a lighter.

A caller to the MediaCorp Hotline, Mr Zhang, said: "A man ran in, lit a bottle of kerosene and threw it at Mr Seng. Half of Mr Seng's hair was burnt...his back suffered burns as well. The man who threw the bottle tried to escape, but some people caught him and brought him to the CC."

Police have arrested the assailant.

Temple officials said the man was disgruntled for not being selected to receive the hong bao containing S$200.

Residents in the area whom Channel NewsAsia spoke to said the man is a familiar face in the neighbourhood, but not much else is known about him.

The charity event was organised by the chairman of the nearby Chu Sheng Temple.

Mr Aw has been the temple chairman for more than 10 years. He is also a popular and prominent figure in the community, with his temple giving out bursaries and red
packets annually for 28 years.

As for Mr Seng, this is not the first time he has been attacked.

He was assaulted by a disgruntled taxi driver in 2006.

The man, who had sought Mr Seng's help about a revoked taxi licence, was acquitted after he agreed to Mr Seng's undisclosed terms. - CNA/ms

新传媒艺人周初明证实患上肌肉萎缩症，他表示知道自己患病后，最不放心的是老婆和两个年幼的孩子。

周初明在一个教会的分享会上，仍以轻松搞笑的口吻演讲，但谈到自己的病情时，难掩心中的悲伤多次哽咽。

“很不幸我就得了这个肌肉萎缩症，日常生活我还能够如常，就是说我退化的速度可能比别人快。”

在知道自己患病后，为了不相让家人担心，周初明之前曾尝试隐瞒病情，而医生的一句话也让他十分担心。

周初明说，“医生都跟我说了，花多一点时间陪孩子那句话的杀伤力，你的心情是真的跌到谷底。”

周初明之前求诊几次，才确认患上肌肉萎缩症，但医生表示，他目前没有生命危险。
